Community Council
The Community Council works to promote a positive quality of life, civic involvement, and advocacy with government organizations to support business.
Under the Community Council are:
The driving force behind the Hanging Flower Basket Project along Shoshone Street as well as an advocate for other beautification projects in the Twin Falls area. The group presents monthly Landscape Awards in conjunction with the City of Twin Falls as well as annual “Business is Blooming” awards for outstanding commercial and industrial beautification projects.
The primary advocacy group within the Chamber. The committee develops and communicates positions of business importance locally, regionally, state-wide, and nationally. The group also hosts public forums on issues of local business importance and offers opportunities for candidate forums during elections.
Another of the Chamber’s primary objectives. By bringing visitors to our community, the Chamber is able to enhance the economic vitality of visitor-service businesses. The Chamber also operates the Buzz Langdon Visitor Center to offer information and souvenirs to visitors. Funds to assist with promotion are awarded annually through the Idaho Regional Travel and Convention Grant program and promotion efforts are in cooperation with South Central Idaho Tourism and Recreation Development Association.
