Due to some of the impacts of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, we’ve rearranged the schedule a bit for ongoing MVYP events. Here’s a rundown of what’s coming up soon. We hope you’re able to join the group for planning and participation. MVYP is mainly comprised of the 21-40 year old population, but is open to any “young thinking” or “young-at-heart professional.
MONTHLY MVYP COMMITTEE MEETING – 1st Wednesday at 6pm at Canyon Crest (330 Canyon Crest Drive) – NEXT MEETING WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5
The monthly business meeting is focused on coordination of activities and opportunities. The meeting will be held in the restaurant area of Canyon Crest – with physical distancing available. Food and beverage service is available on your own.
MONTHLY TRIVIA NIGHTS – 2nd and last Wednesday at 6pm at KOTO Brewing Company (156 Main Avenue North) – NEXT EVENT WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12
Join other young professionals and show off your brain power at Trivia Night twice a month. Teams compete for fun prizes and enjoy networking and locally-crafted food and beverages.
UNWIND WEDNESDAY – 3rd Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm at Milner’s Gate (205 Shoshone Street North) – NEXT EVENT WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19
This no-host event is a great way to network and unwind. Find ways to meet new people and keep in touch with MVYP activities.
CIVIC INVOLVEMENT – Graffiti & Litter Cleanup with Southern Idaho Tourism – Saturday, August 22 – 10am to 12noon followed by a barbeque at the Twin Falls Visitor Center (2015 Neilsen Point Place)
MVYP will be joining Southern Idaho Tourism for a graffiti and litter cleanup project – helping to beautify our area. Supplies will be provided. Meet at the Twin Falls Visitor Center and join us for a celebration barbeque following the work!
FUTURE EVENTS: Additional planning is underway for several more events through the fall including partnering with Ronald McDonald House on their Sippin’ at Sunset fundraising event and professional development sessions. Stay tuned for more details – and be a part of the planning by attending the other scheduled MVYP events.
When attending any MVYP and Twin Falls Chamber events, please follow these practices to limit the spread of viruses and keep us all healthy and open for business:
- Stay home if you’re sick!
- Watch your distance: keep physical distancing of at least 6 feet
- Wash your hands frequently with warm water and soap for 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer
- Wear a face covering in public especially if you cannot maintain distancing
