Twin Falls is home to nine elementary schools, three middle schools, one alternative middle school, two high schools, one alternative high school, and three public charter school. More than 9,300 students receive their education through the Twin Falls School District, making it the eighth-largest district in the state and one of the region’s largest employers. Twin Falls is home to multiple other charter, private and religous schools. Twin Falls is also home to the College of Southern Idaho.
The district is ranked eighth in size among Idaho’s 114. It is one of the largest employers in an eight-county region, with more than 500 certified and 500 classified staff. The district is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees, whose members are elected by the public and serve without pay.
