Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Welcomes New Directors and Recognizes Business Award Winners at Annual Meeting

The Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting and awards banquet on Thursday, March 10, 2022 during which it installed new members of the board of directors, recognized outgoing board members, and presented several business awards.

 

The nearly 800 member businesses of the Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce make up a non-profit organization providing a strong business voice, vision, and focused leadership to enhance the economic vitality and quality of place in our community.

 

New directors elected to the Chamber’s board are: Beau Burk, Snake River Pool and Spa; Cherie Vollmer, American Real Estate and Appraisal; Tami Walker, Colliers; and Todd Schwarz, College of Southern Idaho. Outgoing board members completing their terms on the board of directors are: Dan Olmstead, Olmstead Enterprises; Doug Stokes, State Farm Insurance; Linda Watkins, Watkins Distributing; and Scott Corsetti, Chobani.

 

Awards were presented to:

 

Clint Carter, PMT, Chamber Volunteer of the Year. Clint is actively involved in the Chamber as a volunteer member of the Ambassadors Committee as well as a member of the Board of Directors. Clint’s service in communications and social media has increased the visibility of the Chamber of Commerce and recognition of new businesses. His generosity in donations of gift and door prizes have added to the fun and networking of the Chamber.

 

Ryan Howe, Refresh Marketing, Ambassador of the Year. The Ambassador of The Year award is given to a member of the Ambassadors Committee for going above and beyond the call of duty to support new members, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Ambassador program. Ryan had demonstrated dedication to the promotion of the Chamber of Commerce combined with a strong sense of a greater community. Ryan puts his whole heart and soul into his community, clients, and what he believes in.

 

Refresh Marketing, Rookie of the Year. The company and its owners and employees have shown intense dedication to serving their clients during their first year of Chamber membership. The company supports volunteer service by its employees as members of the Chamber Ambassadors as well as members of the Board of Directors. Refresh Marketing provides outstanding promotion of local business through its Magic Valley Business Spotlight videos on social media.

 

Spice Tree Health & Habit Coaching, Rookie of the Year. Owner Dre Olsen works with clients in and out of the Magic Valley to help them eradicate fatigue caused by poor health, poor habits, and poor focus. The success Spice Tree Health & Habit Coaching has experienced in the past year is due largely to the wonderful community and Chamber members of Twin Falls.

 

Ashley Caldwell Agency, Rookie of the Year. Ashley Caldwell opened her agency in 2021 to pursue a new career. The company’s membership in the Chamber of Commerce and Ashley’s service as a member of the Ambassadors Committee has connected her to other business owners and customers, contributing to her success. Ashley was recognized with multiple industry awards for her growth of life insurance policies in 2021 including being named “Life Insurance Agent of the Year” in her business district.

 

Brizee Heating, Air Conditioning, and Fireplaces – Curtis T. Eaton Award. The Curtis T. Eaton award is named in honor of Mr. Eaton who served as the President of the Twin Falls Bank and Trust. He and the bank were well-liked, well-respected, and dedicated to the success of employees, customers, and community. It’s in that spirit of support for our area’s economic vitality and quality of life that the award is presented to Brizee Heating, Air Conditioning, and Fireplaces. Established in 1909 in Twin Falls, the company is one of the oldest family-owned businesses in the area. As the times and technologies changed, the company adapted to change from metal fabrication to heating to air conditioning and then fireplaces and grills. Their plaque states: “In celebration of being one of the oldest family-owned businesses in Twin Falls serving Southern Idaho for over 100 years, embracing technology and innovation, making sure every aspect of service is of the highest quality, and giving back to the community.”
